Forward & Disclaimer

Wiscasset Speedway Management suggests and recommends that you carefully read the following Rules, Guidelines & Plain Common Sense to become familiar with the governing and operation of Wiscasset Speedway.

Striving to achieve our mission to provide exciting and exceptional entertainment that is respectful and affordable for everyone visiting Wiscasset Speedway; these Rules, Guidelines and Plain Common Sense have been compiled with careful consideration to govern the operation of racing at Wiscasset Speedway. The Rules, Guidelines and Plain Common Sense (hereafter referred to as ‘Rules’) set forth herein are designed to provide for the safe, orderly conduct of racing events and establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events.

These Rules will govern the condition of all race events, and by participating in these events, all competitors and their associates are required to comply with the Rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these Rules, Guidelines & Plain Common Sense. The Rules are intended solely as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, officials or others.

Since it would be both impractical and nearly impossible to list within the confines of any rule book, all the modifications, adaptations, and infractions that could and would be illegal, it shall be understood for the purpose of rule enforcement that only those items that are specified in this document are allowable and permissible. In addition, Wiscasset Speedway Management reserves the right to suspend, eject, and/or withhold purse from anyone who violates these rules.

At any time -should it become necessary in the interest of fair competition, economy, race procedures, race promotion, or in the interest of the race show itself – Wiscasset Speedway Management reserves the right to modify, add, or delete any rule(s), regulation(s) or specification(s).

Well stated by Beech Ridge Motor Speedway – The sport of auto racing is one of the most gratifying forms of competition: A contest of one-on-one, of person vs. machine, of teamwork and support behind the scenes.  Like any sporting activity from skiing to boating; from hunting to fishing, auto racing at this local level is a form of recreation.  Please keep in mind local Saturday night racing at any facility may at best be a break-even financial endeavor, and should not be entered into as a possible money making business.

Best wishes to all for a safe, fun and enjoyable race season!
