Specific To The Entire Speedway

  • “Race Meet” shall, for the purpose of Rules enforcement, be considered to be the period of time between the opening and closing of the Pit Entrance Gate.

 

  • “Race Event” shall, for the purpose of Rules enforcement, be considered to be the period of time between the opening and closing of the track surface.

 

  • Alcoholic beverages and illegal, non-prescribed drugs or substances are prohibited from Wiscasset Speedway property or in any area, including parking lots, that is considered to be publicly used for the operation of speedway facilities.  Illegal drugs are as defined by state and/or federal law.  Non-prescribed drugs are considered to be those not authorized by a state-licensed pharmacist.

 

  • Any and/or all person(s) found to be in possession of and/or under the influence of alcohol and/or any illegal, non-prescribed drug will be immediately expelled from the property.  Prescribed drugs being used by competitor(s) must be reported by that person(s) to the Pit Tower prior to entering any aspect of competition.

 

  • All person(s) knowingly enter Wiscasset Speedway with the full understanding that he/she must abide by these rules and regulations, therefore assume full responsibility for his/her conduct involving drugs and/or alcohol. Additionally, said person(s) will forfeit all doctors’ and hospital fees for any/all injuries sustained during the race meet at which time the offenses occurred.

 

  • No firearms are allowed on Wiscasset Speedway property. Any person discovered having firearms will be immediately suspended for the remainder of the race meet and/or expelled from the property for a period of time as determined by Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • Altercations will not be tolerated at Wiscasset Speedway.  An altercation shall be defined as any vehement argument, quarrel, disagreement, dispute, verbal/physical exchange, squabble, clash, and/or hostile expression of a difference of opinion.  Any person(s) involved in an altercation will be immediately suspended for the remainder of the race meet and/or expelled from the property for a period of time as determined by Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • Offensive language and/or gestures will not be tolerated at Wiscasset Speedway.  Offensive language will be defined as foul, vulgar, threatening and/or abusive words and/or gestures.  Any person(s) using offensive language and/or displaying offensive gestures will be immediately suspended for the remainder of the race meet and/or expelled from the property for a period of time as determined by Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • Any person(s) considered causing a disturbance of any kind (verbal or physical), disrupting the orderly conduct of a race event, threatening the safety and well-being of others will be immediately suspended for the remainder of the race meet and/or expelled from the property for a period of time as determined by Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • After any suspension, expulsion, rejection, penalty or restriction from participation has been issued to any person(s), Wiscasset Speedway Management reserves the right to review the circumstances on a case-by-case basis, and after having done so, to make a decision at that time as to whether or not the person(s) involved can maintain the capabilities to resume participating at Wiscasset Speedway, in accordance with the current general rules, guidelines, and safety objectives, and in the opinion of  Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • With respect to owners, crew members, sponsors, spouse/family and/or associates of a driver as important members of the race team, we ask the Driver to be the sole spokesman for his/her race team in any/all matters pertaining to the race events during the race meet.  Additionally, the Driver shall bear responsibility for the conduct of his/her team owners, crew members, sponsors, spouse/family and/or associates in any/all matters during the race meet.

 

  • No dogs are allowed in the Pit Area or Grandstand Area of the Speedway during a race meet.

 

  • No cash refunds shall be offered should a race event be canceled or shortened due to weather or unusual conditions.  A race event shortened due to weather or unusual conditions shall be considered successful if all qualify/heat races have been complete.

 

  • Wiscasset Speedway Management reserves the right to reject any entry for failure to comply with the Rules. Any individual(s) not complying with the Rules shall be penalized as set forth in these Rules or as determined by Wiscasset Speedway Management.

 

  • Any incident not covered by these rules may be decided upon by Wiscasset Speedway Management and may be made a rule for the remainder of the season.
