HEY KIDS (and Parents)
C&D Laundry
Come see Donnie & Cheryl Letourneau and the gang at C&D Laundry,
located at the Topsham Fair Mall (near Hannaford)

It’s time once again to find our NEMA VIP KID for the Sept 23rd Nema Lite race at Wiscasset Speedway!! Just draw & color a picture of what YOUR own race car would look like and bring it to Penny at the C&D Laundry Kids Club table by Sept 16th. The winner will get a special VIP experience hanging out the folks from Nema and handing out the trophies in victory lane. Start designing your race car today.

Mother Nature blessed us with another perfect race night.  The Kids started their thinking about what to do for the fall NEMA KID CONTEST. I have asked the kids to draw a picture of what their race car will look like when they race. A lot of kids knew exactly what they were going to draw. Others wanted to work on them week to week. The contest will run thru September 16. The winning poster will be chosen the end of that race night. It is a really fun experience for some lucky kid. If you have any questions, please stop by the Kids Club Booth.

The Jr Official for this week was Hunter Wilson. This was Hunter’s first trip to Wiscasset Speedway. He thought the whole experience of being Jr Official was so neat. He plans on coming back and trying to win something else. This weeks lucky bike winner was Ryan Pinkham. Ryan is a regular at the track and has been trying to win the bike all year. Barny Brown was nice enough to help this dream come true. Ryan was grinning from ear to ear. Faith Burrs and Brody Davis were the lucky toy winners this week. They both were excited with the new banks. Jaida Young just had to have the makeup kit donated by #10 Outlaw Mini, Jimmy Childs, and crew. She was one happy young lady.

Ken and I were approached about doing backpack give-a-ways at the track. The idea was put out to Drivers, Crews, Super Fans, and members of Team Wiscasset. So many people came through with fantastic backpacks. The lucky kids were Amanda Wheelis, Gabby Austin, Kyleigh Cole, Landyn Rego, Hannah Jusinski, Ali Frazier, Gaige Martin, Jordan Luce Warren, Mackenzie Hatch, Makalya Norton, Franky Sciascia, Rachel Richardson, Nicole Watson, Cayden Davis, Owen Favreau, Kyle Mank, Ashley Watson, Logan Norton, Taiton Schutt, Kathryn Hibbard, Robert Saxton, Saphira Pietila, Gavyn Childs, Alexander Rines, Kiera Grant, Alyssa Pietila, Mariah Andrews, Kayla Bossie, Kayla Giroux, Taylor Hinckley, Ben Yeaton, Justin Reed, Zackary Stewart, Kaiden Morin, Issaac Ezzell, and Tucker Austin. These 36 kids are now all set for going back to school. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this awesome event.

I am really looking forward to next week. We will have the First Annual Smith Family Hula Hoop Challenge during intermission. Trophies will be awarded to the kids that can Hula Hoop the longest. If you have any question, please see me at the Kids Club Booth.

See You at the Track

Wiscasset Speedway is excited to announce that during the 2017 race season we’ll be giving away at least one kids bike EVERY WEEK! We’ll have a small child bike, girl’s bike, and a boy’s bike to choose from. The lucky winner will also receive a new helmet for the bike. We are looking for Super Fans, Business’s, Employee’s, Driver’s, or Crew members to sponsor these bikes. If you are interested in helping make a young race fan’s day, please let me know. We are looking for $75 donations to the kids club to purchase these bikes. I can be reached at the C&D Laundry Kids Club table at the track, on my Facebook page, by phone at 649-6165, or by email at Sponsor will be named the Wiscasset Speedway weekly program. There will also be a white board by the gate telling fans as they arrive who the weekly sponsor is. Ken will be announcing the bike sponsor during the race night. The lucky kid will have their picture taken and that picture will be displayed on the website. Let’s make a lot of kids smile.

Congratulations to Penny Shorette for winning the W20_2939
