We’re excited to announce that Thayer’s Automotive Competition Engines has stepped up as the presenting sponsor for the 12th annual Strictly Shootout, Saturday September 28th at Wiscasset Speedway. The popular end-of-season event gathers many of the top Street Stock / Wildcat / Outlaw drivers in the northeast region in a high-stakes 50-lap shootout-style race for bragging rights, big money, and some of the most unique prizes in racing .. including a Twister cowboy hat, custom rodeo-style championship belt buckle & crown and MORE !! The Strictly Shootout was the brainchild of longtime racer and former track official Dave Brannon and is now entering its 12th season. Former winners include Cole Watson, Corey Morgan, Kurt & Kyle Hewins, Jordan Russell, Mike Haynes, Keith Drost, and Jonathon Emerson. Last year’s race attracted a record 45 competitors with Josh St Clair taking home the win.

Their machine shop is located in Hermon, Maine where they combine cutting-edge technology and precision engineering to create unbeatable racing parts and engines.
