The annual 150 lap Pro stock race, which made its debut in 1991, is named after longtime Hall of Fame racer and former Wiscasset Speedway owner Dave “Boss Hogg” St Clair

NOTE: PER GENERAL RACING RULE #2.1 – Wiscasset Speedway ownership/management reserves the right to approve or deny entry into the Boss Hogg 150 based on a driver’s previous experience in a Prostock / SLM car. 

Driver Eligibility Rule 2.1 “Each driver must be approved for competition within any division by track management. Decisions are based upon a driver’s previous experience, as well as their past and projected performance and ability. All decisions are the opinion of track management and are solely administered by track management, without the right of appeal. All decisions are made in the best interest of fairness of competition, safety to the individual driver and all other drivers, pairing of drivers with similar experience and talent, and in the overall best interest of the positive enhancement of a division. Additionally, decisions are made in the interest of limiting damage and expensive repairs to all teams.”

RULES = WISCASSET SPEEDWAY PRO STOCK RULES APPLY

  • RACEIVERS REQUIRED (or monitoring of track raceiver frequency)
  • We will NOT pre-tech cars. It is YOUR responsibility to know and follow the rules

TIRES =

  • 2024 Boss Hogg 150 is a 4-tire race, 2 practice tires may be registered as spares and may ONLY be changed if a tire is cut during the event (with the approval of Tech Director or Tire Manager).
  • The tires will be Wiscasset Speedway Official Prostock Track Tire = Hoosier 27.0/10.0-15 3035 and 26.5/10.0-15 3045.

TIRE PURCHASE SCHEDULE: (tires will be impounded at the track until 9am on race day 9/3)

* 8/29 Thursday 10am – 6pm

* 8/30 Friday 10am – 6pm 

* 8/31 Saturday 10am – 8pm

* 9/1 Sunday 9am Upon Pit Gate Open

  • On race day, tires must be kept outside of enclosed haulers and within sight (available to inspection) at all times
  • Application of tire softener is PROHIBITED on the grounds of Wiscasset Speedway. Any team found with any tire softener, conditioner, or any substance used to treat tires, in their possession
    (including in trailers and haulers) will be disqualified from the event.
  • A tire cannot be changed in the race unless it is flat. Tire MUST be cut or flat due to tire failure. A faulty bleeder is not accepted as a tire failure. In the event of a bleeder failure, the team must change the bleeder and continue the use of said tire for the remainder of the given event
  • Teams found with illegal tires in the Heat race will forfeit their starting position in the feature and start from the rear of the field
  • Teams found with illegal tires in the Feature will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize money.

FIELD = 30 cars – subject to change

HEATS = OPEN DRAW, 12 laps each

  • 4 heats (6 transfer from each to the main event – remainder to consi heat)
  • 2 Consi heat (4 transfer to the main event)
  • 2 Provisionals (highest Wiscasset points standing not qualified, tba)
  • subject to change based on the number of entries

FEATURE = 150 Green flag laps (no required break or pit stop).

  • standard Wiscasset Speedway race rules apply.
  • you will not lose a lap if you pit under caution, however, you will be placed in order at the end of the line in the order you come out of the pits
  • lap cars will be pulled out for any restarts inside the final 20 laps
