WISCASSET SPEEDWAY HALL OF FAME
In 2019, to celebrate Wiscasset Speedway’s 50th season, we started the track’s Hall of Fame. Its purpose to recognize individuals who have had a significant and lasting impact on the history of the track. While many have had a hall of fame level success at tracks throughout the state, the inaugural class shined a light on those who had a specific connection to Wiscasset. The inaugural class consisted of drivers, car owners, pioneers, and staff. A private Hall of Fame luncheon was held on the day of the track’s 50th birthday celebration and then the Hall of Fame inductees were introduced to the crowd later that night during intermission of that night’s race program. Several other former champions were recognized as well that night.
Wiscasset Speedway’s Hall of Fame wall and history display are located at the “Inside Groove” downstairs at the front stretch grandstand building. The display also includes photos and memorabilia spotlighting the track’s 50+ years.
