COASTAL 200

TIRE & PRACTICE UPDATE

• THE COASTAL 200 WILL BE A 6 TIRE RACE!!
• TEAMS MAY PURCHASE THEIR 6 RACE TIRES ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS

• • • THURSDAY 5/22 (10:00a – 6:00p) – tire trailer & tire barn will close 6:00pm SHARP
    • FRIDAY 5/23 (10:00a – 4:00p) – tire trailer & tire barn will close 6:00pm SHARP
    • SATURDAY 5/24 by appointment only – tire trailer & tire barn will close 12:00noon SHARP
    • SUNDAY 5/25 (9:00a) 
• TIRES PURCHASED 5/22, 5/23, 5/24 WILL BE IMPOUNDED AT THE TRACK UNTIL 9:00a on RACE DAY (tires may be mounted)

• THERE WILL BE OPEN PRACTICE FOR LATE MODELS ONLY ON THURSDAY 5/22 FROM 10:00a – 5:00p (Tire barn & tire trailer will close at 6:00 pm SHARP)

 REGISTRATION

•   $50 ADVANCED (prior to 5/1/25) / $75 (after 5/1/25)
• 2025 COASTAL 200 DRIVER REGISTRATION
• Teams that register in advance will be afforded the following benefits:
  • Pre-selection of race tires. Tires may be purchased and mounted prior to race day 5/22 – 5/24 (tires will be impounded until race day)
  • Ability to rent track time during the week prior to the Coastal 200
  • Ability to reserve an “open” pit stall for Coastal 200
  • Consideration for a provisional starting position (if needed)

 CAR RULES

• Wiscasset Speedway 2024 Late Model Sportsman rules apply (tire rules listed below)
• 2025 LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN RULES
• Transponders & Raceivers are required

   TIRES RULES:  Wiscasset Speedway 2025 Late Model Sportsman tire rules apply unless noted below.

• Coastal 200 will be a 6-tire race. A maximum of six (6) tires may be registered for this event. Teams are required to purchase a minimum of four (4) new tires. Teams that purchase less than 6 new tires will be permitted to insert the difference (1 or 2) used tires to gain the required six tires. All tire numbers must be recorded by the Technical department prior to the start of practice.
• Tires will be available for purchase Thu 5/22 (10a-5p), Fri 5/23 (10a-4p), Sat 5/24 (by appointment), and race day beginning at 9am (sharp). Tires purchased prior to race day will be impounded and released to race teams at 9am on race day 5/26.
• Tires will be registered specifically to each car and may be used at their discretion. Any use of non-registered tires will result in disqualification.
• All registered tires must be stored on the team’s pit pad, outside of trailers, and available for inspection at any time.
• RULE 9.3 ADDENDUM (tire use)
  • Hoosier compound 700 tires may be used on any corner of the car (LF, LR, RF, RR)
  • Hoosier compound 500 tires may only be used on the left side (LF, LR)
• RULE 9.3.3 ADDENDUM (penalties)
  • Heats: Forfeiture of the failed tire and placed into the last position of that heat. The forfeited tire cannot be replaced and you will run the remainder of the day minus the forfeited tire(s). Should your inventory drop below 4 tires your car will be retired from the event.
  • Feature: Your finish will be erased and your participation in the event will not be recognized.
• RULE 9.3.4 ADDENDUM (tire replacement)
  • Should a tire be damaged during the heat, a replacement will be decided case by case.
  • Should a tire be damaged during the feature, it must be replaced with one of the six reregistered tires.
  • a faulty bleeder does not constitute a damaged tire
  • No unregistered tires may be introduced into feature event and will result in disqualification

FIELD = 28 cars (24 cars qualify from heats / 4 additional via consi and or provisional) subject to change

HEATS = OPEN DRAW, 15 laps each (# of heats and #to transfer to feature TBD based on #of entries)

FEATURE = 200 Green flag laps

• Standard Wiscasset Speedway race rules apply
• No mandatory stop
• You can not lose a lap under caution, but if you choose to pit under caution you will give up your running position and be realigned at the rear of the field for the restart in the order you return to the track. Cars will only be permitted to re-enter the field after the lineup is set.

COASTAL 200 IS A NON-PT RACE – However, 20 bonus points will be given to all drivers running the Coastal
