RULES ADDENDUMS (SPECIFIC TO 2024 SHOOTOUT)

• 1-3/8″ max stock appearing sway bar. Mounted in stock location
• Front nose minimum clearance 4″. All other body panels 6″
• Gen 6 noses allowed

NOTE: PER GENERAL RACING RULE #2.1 – Wiscasset Speedway ownership/management reserves the right to approve or deny entry into the Strictly Shootout based on a driver’s previous experience.

REGISTRATION = $20 regular pit admission  2024 STRICTLY SHOOTOUT REGISTRATION FORM

RULES = 

• TRANSPONDERS ARE REQUIRED
• RACEIVERS REQUIRED (or monitoring of track raceiver frequency)
• We will NOT pre-tech cars. It is YOUR responsibility to know and follow the rules

TIRES =

• 2024 Strictly Shootout is meant for race teams to use their existing tire inventory. However, teams will be permitted to purchase 2 new tires for the race. 
• Application of tire softener is PROHIBITED on the grounds of Wiscasset Speedway. Any team found with any tire softener, conditioner, or any substance used to treat tires, in their possession (including in trailers and haulers) will be disqualified from the event.
• A tire cannot be changed in the race unless it is flat. Tire MUST be cut or flat due to tire failure.
• Teams found with illegal tires in the Heat race will forfeit their starting position in the feature and start from the rear of the field
• Teams found with illegal tires in the Feature will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize money.

FIELD = 30 cars – subject to change

QUALIFYING 

• (4) 12 lap heat races = top 5 from each transfer to main event (positions 1-20) / remainder to consi heats
• (2) 12 lap consi heats = top 4 from each transfer to the main event (positions 21-28) / remainder to last chance qualifier
• (1) 20 lap last chance qualifier = winner only transfers to main event (position 29)
• 2 Provisionals (pos 30-31)
  • 2024 Wiscasset Strictly Street points
  • 2023 Strictly Shootout finish
  • Past Shootout champion (if needed)

FEATURE = 50 Green flag laps (no required break or pit stop).

• Top 12 qualifiers will redraw for starting position during driver intros
• standard Wiscasset Speedway race rules apply.
• you will not lose a lap if you pit under caution, however, you will be placed in order at the end of the line in the order you come out of the pits
• lap cars will be pulled out for any restarts inside the final 10 laps
