TECH DEPARTMENT BULLETINS
8/4/24 – ROADRUNNERS
In the Roadrunner race held on 7/20/24, the #5 and #23 were disqualified in post race tech inspection for violation of rule #7.2 (suspension). The ruling was disputed by the #5 team. Per Wiscasset rules, an appeal hearing was held, consisting of the driver of the #5, Wiscasset Tech dept, Wiscasset management, and 2 independent & respected veteran drivers/crew chiefs (not involved in Roadrunner division). Following the appeal process, the panel ruled in favor of the #5 team and the disqualification was recinded. The dq for the #23 was also recinded as he was disqualified for the same infraction. The official finish of the 7/20/24 race has been updated and the points awarded for that race as well.
